Akash Deep shared an incident with a YouTube channel, Sports Launchpad by Saurav Yaduvanshi, where he mentioned that in 2022, Virat Kohli advised the bowlers to focus on red-ball cricket if they want to play for India in the future. “During the 2022 IPL, I was having breakfast with Virat Kohli. He then said that India will need red-ball pacers in the future. You should also think about that. I wasn’t even thinking of red-ball cricket, but that’s when I started focusing on it.” Akash Deep said.
