Ahmedabad Weather Report
While May 28 saw the wrath of the weather gods, the forecast for Monday, May 29, appears to be pretty hopeful for a complete 20-over game. AccuWeather predicts that it will likely be sunny throughout the early hours and mostly clear the rest of the day.
Right before the game (5 and 6 PM), it’s likely to be cloudier, although the situation is anticipated to get better later in the day. The skies should dissipate by 7 PM, and no rain is expected the rest of the day (when the match is played).
If weather suddenly interferes again on Monday night, Gujarat Titans will be crowned the season’s champions since they finished first in the standings during the league stage.
Earlier on Sunday, around 6:30 p.m. local time, the rain started falling in Ahmedabad and continued nonstop for at least the next two and a half hours.
However, the rain did stop about 9:00 p.m. local time, and the covers were removed; two super sopper had been in service since around 8:30 p.m. IST. Although the players had begun warming up, a strong downpour forced the ground crew to cover the surface once again.
