The squad for the South Africa series features four changes compared to the team currently facing Australia. Despite the changes, Suryakumar Yadav will retain his position as the T20I captain for the series. Rohit Sharma’s decision to skip the white-ball segment of the tour and Hardik Pandya’s injury have led to this decision.

The Indian Board unveiled India’s squads for the South Africa series, introducing Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj to the team. Conversely, there are four exclusions from the squad. The Indian team has omitted Axar Patel and Shivam Dube, both of whom played crucial roles in the Australia T20Is, along with pacers Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan, for the South Africa series.
