BCCI president Roger Binny pins the blame on Ben Stokes‘ aggressive captaincy for the downfall of England. The ex-India player was a part of the audience at Dharamshala viewing IND vs ENG 5th Test. Binny opines that adding to Stokes’ methods, Rohit Sharma‘s patience is also one of the key reasons for India gaining an upper hand in the series.

“Well, the captaincy of Ben Stokes so far he has been more aggressive, and I think that has been the (reason for their) downfall in the few Test matches,” Binny, tells PTI Video in an exclusive chat.
“Being so aggressive and trying to take on the Indian spinners in difficult times (situations) rather than hanging around and trying to make a big score,” adds Binny.
Rohit Sharma’s patience and England’s loss
“Rohit Sharma again has been very tactful. You know he knew exactly what he wanted to do and he got his bowlers to do that.”
“I don’t think England changed their strategy. They went on the same attacking mode like what they did in the first Test match. But, I think, Rohit was more patient because he had the first Test in his pocket at one stage and then he let it go. He was patient enough in the next two Tests and won both.” he adds.

India Cricket Team continues to dominate England in the IND vs ENG 5th Test at Dharamshala. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first. The tourists in fact got a good start before the Indian spinners wreaked havoc. Kuldeep Yadav reached 50 Test wickets with a stunning fifer. Ravi Ashwin on the other hand, bagged a four-fer on his 100th Test cap.
