Indian Captain Rohit Sharma was traveling from Mumbai to Pune in his Lamborghini Urus to play his match against Bangladesh. He was caught overspeeding twice on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and was fined between Rs 4000 and Rs 2000. Right after this incident, a UFC fighter was arrested for overspeeding just before his match, which is scheduled to take place this weekend.

After Rohit Sharma, Derrick Lewis found himself in trouble for Over-Speeding
Sharma’s vehicle was speeding 10-15 kmph more than the recommended limit on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, where the speed limit is 100 kmph. Sharma reached speeds of 117 kmph and 105 kmph. Following that, Derrick Lewis was recently arrested for reckless driving.
Allegedly, he was driving his Lamborghini at 136 miles per hour in an area where the speed limit is only 50 mph. The complaint against Lewis claims he was driving at high speeds and changing lanes recklessly.
Derrick Lewis is set to face Jailton Almeida at UFC Fight Night. However, just before the fight, Lewis found himself in trouble. He was granted a $100 personal recognizance bond and was released from custody on the same day as his arrest. In contrast, Sharma was fined between 2000rs and 4000rs.
Despite Lewis’s arrest, his upcoming fight in Brazil against Almeida is still scheduled for this weekend. The UFC has scheduled a Fight Night event at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 4, 2023.
