After Pakistan Cricket Team, Shaun Tait is back to coaching in Pakistan again. Ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Tait joins Quetta Gladiators as their bowling coach. Shaun Tait will be joined by Shane Watson who is the head coach of the Gladiators.
After a brief span of less than 12 months, Tait is back with Pakistan Cricket. Having served as the fast bowling coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Tait will now train the likes of Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Mohammad Hasnain.
Tait took to social media to showcase his excitement of joining the PSL franchise. He posted a video on social media where he said, “Hi everyone, Shaun Tait here. I can happily announce that I’ll be the bowling coach for the Quetta Gladiators for the upcoming HBL PSL. I would like to thank Mr Nadeem Omar for trusting me with the bowling group and bowlers like Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim Jr and some real great talent.”
The 9th season of the PSL is set to start on 13th February 2024. As for Shaun Tait, he will have a tough time with his new franchise. Both Watson and Tait needs to work hand in hand to overturn the difficulties that the side faced last season.
Quetta Gladiators finished PSL season 8 with just 6 points. The Sarfaraz Ahmed led side managed to win just 3 matches after playing 10 games, thereby finishing at the bottom of the points table.
