Two Asians dominating the list!
Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the main reason why Afghanistan performed well in the group stage. Gurbaz turned out to be a great asset for the team, anchoring the innings in all 8 games and striking the ball whenever required. On the other hand, Rohit ‘Hitman’ Sharma led the Indian team to their second T20 World Cup title, also taking charge as opener and scoring 257 runs with an amazing strike rate of 156.70. His innings of 92 runs against Australia in the Super 8 stage broke various records.
Also his knock of 57 runs off 39 balls against England in the semifinals also turned out to be key for India, which helped India to post a score of more than 170 and win the game by a massive 68 runs.
