AFG vs NZ Test: Day 4 called off after rain plays spoilsport yet again

AFG vs NZ Test: No respite for fans and Teams! Rain gods continue to shower blessings as Day 4 gets called off too

And the rain continues to play spoilsport for the Afghanistan vs New Zealand Test match at Noida. At a stretch all the days have been called off owing to rain in Noida. Day 4 saw the entire ground covered in covers with dark and gloomy skies. With over night rain in Noida, the game couldn’t unfortunately take place on Day 4 too.

Early morning rain at the venue saw the entire ground covered. This meant that the ground conditions weren’t too great for the match to resume for the first time. And with rain in the air, and the ground being damp for the past 4 days, the officials decided to call for Day 4 early on.

AFG vs NZ Test

It has been heart wrenching for the fans who travelled to the Greater Noida stadium on the past couple of days. With rain pouring in hard, there was not an iota of the match to resume. Like Day 1,2,3 and now Day 4 too have been called off with the ground conditions being extremely wet and soggy.

For the Black Caps, they couldn’t get the much needed cricket which they so dearly wanted. The Kiwis are slated to being in their Asian tour soon with Test series against India and Sri Lanka in the coming days. With heavy rain forecasted on Day 5 as well, it will be likely be another call off tomorrow as well.
