Team India’s kit sponsors Adidas officially unveiled India’s cricket World Cup jersey on Wednesday (September 20). The sponsors uploaded a video on their social media handle which is garnering a lot of attention on the social media platforms. In a change to celebrate the showpiece event being played in India. They have replaced the three white stripes on the shoulders with the vibrant tricolour. The BCCI logo on the left side of the chest now bears two stars, which signifies India’s ODI World Cup victories.
In a gesture of celebration for the World Cup 2023 being hosted in India, adidas has revamped the ODI jersey, replacing the three white stripes on the shoulders with the vibrant tricolour. The BCCI logo now proudly bears two stars, symbolizing India’s historic ODI World Cup wins in 1983 and 2011.
Adidas has named their World Cup campaign as ‘3 Ka Dream’. The official sponsor called the campaign a “testament to the country’s unwavering support for team India.”
“3 Ka Dream’ gives words to over a billion Indian fans’ dream to see their team win a third ODI World Cup”, Adidas said in official press release.
Adidas’ special World Cup song has been sung by the Indian rapper Raftaar. The campaign video will feature Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav, alongside the Indian cricket fans.
