Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa on Wednesday went into the history books when he became the first Australian male cricketer to scalp 100 wickets in T20Is. Zampa achieved this feat when he took a 4-wicket haul against Namibia. Zampa reached the elusive milestone at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium during Australia’s match against Namibia in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The 32-year-old dismissed Bernard Scholtz, David Wiese, Ruben Trumpelmann, and Zane Green from the crease in the first inning of the match against Namibia.
Zampa far ahead, Starc chasing behind
Zampa has taken 100 wickets in T20 cricket with an economy rate of 7.20 in 83 matches and 82 innings, making him Australia’s leading wicket-taker in the shortest format. Mitchell Starc is in second place with 76 wickets and an economy rate of 7.72 in 62 T20 matches for Australia.
Miserly spell leads to Namibia’s downfall
Zampa spearheaded the Australian bowling attack, taking four wickets at an economy rate of 3.00 in his four-over spell. Marcus Stoinis and Hazlewood each claimed two wickets during their respective spells. In the first inning, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc each claimed one wicket.
