The ongoing edition of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup is being played in Oman. Speaking more about the event, the Emerging Asia Cup is a tournament introduced in 2013 by the Asian Cricket Council. Despite starting in 2013, so far, only five editions of the tournament have been played.

After 2013, the second edition took place in 2017 in Bangladesh, while Pakistan and Sri Lanka hosted the third edition in 2018. In 2019, Bangladesh again hosted the fourth edition. While the last concluded edition of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup was again conducted in Sri Lanka before the action shifted to Oman. ACC Emerging Asia Cup winners

Team India became the champions in the first edition in 2013 as they defeated Pakistan in the final match. The second edition saw Sri Lanka win the tournament held in Bangladesh. Led by Angelo Perera, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the final match.

The third edition took place in 2018 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. This time as well, Sri Lanka was able to retain its title. As they faced India in the final played in Colombo. The fourth edition took place in Bangladesh. Pakistan and Bangladesh qualified for the final in Mirpur. This time Pakistan came out on top to win their first ever Emerging Asia Cup. The last edition of the Emerging Asia Cup was also won by the Men in Green, as they defeated arch-rivals India by a big margin of 128 runs.
