Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up about his process of playing in different formats of the game after playing a big role in India’s win over England in second Test in Vizag.
Jaiswal, who scored his maiden double century in the first innings, revealed that his mindset while playing red-ball cricket and white-ball cricket is completely different.
“It’s absolutely different because the field is different. Ball is different and my minds is also different because, in these games I try to play it till the end and when I play white ball, I just go for it from the first ball and try to make sure that my intent is really good”, Jaiswal said after the game.
Jaiswal also heaped high praise on pacer Jasprit Bumrah said watching the latter from slips was amazing.
Bumrah bowled a fiery spell on Day 2 of the Test to put India’s noses in front. The pacer picked up a 6-wicket haul as England were bundled out for 253, giving India a big lead.
“I think the the way Bumrah bhai bowled it was incredible to watch. Even when we were from slips it was quite amazing. It was coming too fast and we were just thinking that. Yeah, if there is a catch, we were going to take it. He bowled really well in the first innings also and now, again in second innings”, the young Indian opener added.
