The India Cricket Team will take on England for the 4th T20I at Pune. However, ahead of the match former India opener Aakash Chopra has suggested 2 changes to the India Playing XI. He argued bringing Shivam Dube in place of Washington Sundar who has not been used properly. The other hand which he suggested was bringing in Arshdeep Singh in the attack.
Aakash Chopra suggested that Washington Sundar needs to be dropped from the Playing XI. He didn’t blame the player, but rather the team management. He claimed that Washi is not being used as a bowler, so there is no need to play him. In turn, he suggested using Shivam Dube down the lower order.
Drop Washington, bring in Arshdeep
“It’s clear that you are not using Washington Sundar as a bowler. You played him two matches and he picked up a wicket with his first ball (in the first game). He dismissed Ben Duckett, didn’t get hit in the first over as well, but he didn’t bowl a second over,” he said.
Aakash Chopra suggested playing Shivam Dube at number 6, lower than Hardik Pandya. In such a scenario, Hardik can opt to play the role of an anchor, meanwhile, Shivam Dube can act ha the finisher.
“I have kept Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson at No. 1 and No. 2. I am keeping Tilak (Varma) at No. 3. Captain SKY (Suryakumar Yadav) at No. 4. After that, Hardik Pandya at No. 5. I want to play Dube at No. 6,” Chopra stated.

Furthermore, Chopra added that he wants Arshdeep Singh to be back in the squad. The ace pacer missed out on the previous game. As for Chopra, India’s pace bowling attack will consist of Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep. Hardik would go on to act as the third pacer in the squad.
“At No. 7, I have got Axar Patel, the vice-captain. After that, I want to go with four bowlers. I am not thinking about another batter or all-rounder. It’s good if the No. 8 player bats but I am not thinking that way. I am thinking that you should play (Ravi) Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep (Singh) and Mohammed Shami,” he concluded.
