Uganda on Sunday went into the history books for a an unwanted record after their poor display with the bat against co-hosts West Indies in the T20 World Cup 2024. Chasing 174, Uganda were bowled out for 39 runs, making it the joint lowest total ever in the T20 World Cup.
Windies‘ Akeal Hosein grabbed a 5-wicket haul as Uganda proved no match in front of the Caribbean bowling line up. The lowest total ever recorded in a T20 World Cup was 39, which the Netherlands scored against Sri Lanka in 2014. Uganda have now matched that mark, making history as the team with the joint-lowest total ever.
