IPL 2025 has just started, but much like previous editions, some emerging players are already making the most of the platform. We’ve seen many times in the past how young players have stepped up and stolen the show, from Jasprit Bumrah to Hardik Pandya to Rinku Singh—all of whom first grabbed the spotlight in this cash-rich league before becoming household names.
Similarly, this season, a few names are becoming the talk of the town. Although the sample size is small, some emerging talents are delivering incredible performances for their respective IPL teams. Clearly, they have a bright future ahead.

Vignesh Puthur
Well, it’s just the start for 24-year-old Vignesh Puthur, but currently, people are talking about him. This superstar caught attention when he came in as an impact substitute, replacing Rohit Sharma against Chennai Super Kings. In his very first over, he dismissed CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, instantly becoming a hero. And he didn’t stop there, as he went on to pick up three wickets in four overs.
Although his team lost the match, Puthur gained significant attention. The sample size is currently extremely small to judge his future, but given the talent he possesses, we can expect that if MI releases him before IPL 2026, he could attract heavy bidding in the IPL 2026 auction.
Prince Yadav
Najafgarh not only gave the legendary batter Virender Sehwag, but now, a pacer from the same place is making headlines. That’s right, everyone is talking about Prince Yadav, who is playing for Lucknow Super Giants. He impressed against Sunrisers Hyderabad, as this talented fast bowler stole the spotlight and deceived SRH’s dangerous batter, Travis Head.
The level of discipline he showed with the ball was incredible, clearly indicating a bright future ahead. If LSG do not retain him next season, we can expect other teams to go after him at a big price.
Aniket Verma
What Aniket Verma is doing for SRH is amazing, as his explosive batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad is gaining attention. Recently, against DC, he scored a brilliant 74 off just 41 deliveries, smashing 5 fours and 6 sixes. In fact, before that, he grabbed the spotlight with a quickfire 35 during the match against Lucknow Super Giants. However, despite his stellar performances, his team lost both games. Nevertheless, he shone brightly and is surely one of the key players for the upcoming IPL seasons.
