3 teams who will target Jofra Archer in IPL 2025 Mega Auction

The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place at Jeddah on 24-25th November

Jofra Archer is back in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. After initially, not being shortlisted, now the English speedster will be available to go under the hammer in the IPL 2025 Auction. The presence of the 29-year-old English pacer will draw massive attention from the teams. Here we take a look at 3 teams who will target Jofra Archer in the Mega Auction.

So far Jofra Archer has plated in four seasons in the IPL. His big-money move to Mumbai Indians back in 2022 didn’t materialize as he remained injured. He returned back in 2023 where he featured in 5 matches for MI. So far Archer has played 40 matches in the league where he has managed to scalp 48 wickets.

Mumbai Indians

It would be a wonderful homecoming for the 29-year-old pacer. Mumbai Indians showed their trust in Archer back in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Despite remaining injured, MI bought the player for a price of 8 crores. But the stay wasn’t good for the player. He returned the next season, played 5 matches, and managed to bag 2 wickets.

After missing last season, Archer is now back to play his trade in the Indian Premier League. Now no longer injured, Mumbai Indians can be tempted to make a last dash for the pacer and hope to acquire him for a cut price.

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings is notoriously known to make extremely strategic buys. Often buying older players and reviving their careers. And that could well be the case for CSK. The Yellow Army needs an experienced pacer to bolster their pace attack and who better than Jofra Archer? The Englishman can come in quite cheaply and help the side get their much-needed player.

Rajasthan Royals

Another homecoming could be on the cards. In fact, it was Rajasthan Royals who managed to extract the best out of the Englishman in the Indian Premier League. And now since RR is keen to bolster their pace attack, going back for the Englishman can look like it to be a very sensible buy.
