Recently, in a group stage match playing for South Delhi SuperStarz, he smashed six sixes and scored a century in just 40 balls against North Delhi Strikers, creating high expectations among the public that this southpaw could become India’s next cricket sensation. Royal Challengers Bengaluru
There is a clear indication that teams desperately searching for good openers may go after Priyansh Arya. One team that may surely enter the bidding war for Arya is RCB, a team in need of a solid opener and still in pursuit of their first IPL trophy. This young southpaw could help quench RCB’s thirst for the IPL title with his spectacular batting.
In the DPL, Arya has scored 576 runs in his last eight innings to date, with an unbelievable average of 96 and a strike rate of 200. RCB, who may not retain Faf du Plessis this time—who usually opens with Virat Kohli in the IPL that could create a space for Arya.
