Arshdeep Singh
Indian T20 star pacer Arshdeep Singh, who was the joint leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets last season, could be their first pick for a big retention. Since Arshdeep’s emergence, bursting onto the scene, he has developed significantly, with amazing new variations. He has continually been an asset for both the Indian team and PBKS. Surely, the Punjab franchise needs top players, and Arshdeep Singh is one of them.
Shashank Singh
As mentioned, PBKS doesn’t have many names they can rely on for the upcoming season. So, their best option is to retain players they know can perform extremely well. Last season, one uncapped player who could be the best pick is Shashank Singh. He emerged as a hard hitter and embraced the role of a finisher, something PBKS desperately needs, given their lack of players who can close out games. Last season, Shashank blasted the bowlers, scoring 354 runs in 14 games with an outstanding strike rate of 164.65. Many times, he rescued the team, and with such quality, he could be their second pick as well.
Ashutosh Sharma
Another uncapped name, Ashutosh Sharma, could be on the retention list for Punjab Kings. He burst onto the scene just like Shashank , and it was unexpected ,many times Sharma showed glimpses of high-quality batting, establishing innings, and then taking on the bowlers at the end. He could surely be another valuable pick for the franchise.
