3 most important players for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025

RCb decided to bank on Virat Kohli and retained the player for IPL 2025 for a price of 21 crores

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to take its course. But ahead of IPL 2025, teams have already begun planning and formalizing their plans and strategies after the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. While each team has exploited the auction well, there will however always be some players who will always be crucial for the team. Here we check 3 players who will be the most important players for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025.

RCB are yet to win the IPL title and will be trying their best to end the jinx. And in doing so, RCB just might re-appoint Virat Kohli as the captain of the team. Apart from Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Josh Hazlewood are the most important players in the team.

Virat Kohli

  • Role: Captain and Top Order Batsman
  • Price: ₹21 crore

By obvious choice, Virat Kohli is the most important player in the RCB setup. The team decided to showcase their trust in him when they went on to defend the player for a whopping sum of 21 crores. Kohli was the captain of the side from 2013 to 2021. And now after the removal of Faf du Plessis, Kohli is likely to lead the charge for RCB in IPL 2025.

Josh Hazlewood

  • Role: Fast Bowler
  • Price: ₹12.5 crore

While there are initial claims of Josh Hazlewood suffering an injury during the Border Gavaskar Trophy, he is likely to be fit and play a part in the series. And this means, there is no major injury concern for the ace speedster. RCB went on to buy Hazlewood for a price of 12.5 crores which would be crucial owing to his prowess in the powerplay and death overs.

Rajat Patidar

  • Role: Middle Order Batsman
  • Price: ₹11 crore

Royal Challengers Bengaluru retained Rajat Patidar for a price of 11 crores on IPL 2025 Retention Day. This goes on to prove the RCB have put their trust on the finisher. Patidar’s ability to accelerate the innings towards the later phase of the game makes him one of the best in the business. And this means alongside Kohli and Hazlewood, Patidar is also a very important player in RCB’s setup for IPL 2025.
