If we closely observe this team, we’ll find that GT is known for experimenting with new talents. It’s fair to say that this strategy has paid off well for them. Sai Sudarshan

Sai Sudarshan has been instrumental for the Gujarat Titans so far this season. Although his strike rate is questionable, the consistency he shows as a No. 3 batter is commendable. In IPL 2024, he has played 8 matches and scored 269 runs with an impressive average of 33.63. Known for his consistency and aggressive cricket, the Indian team might give him a chance to showcase his talent. Although, considering the Indian team playing XI, he might not play in all the games in the World Cup, the team might use him as a backup option. Also, he provides spin bowling options as well, which India might consider, bringing Sudarshan in as their 5th or 6th bowling option. As they are desperately looking for more bowling options.

Rahul Tewatia

Tewatia has been considered one of the best finishers in the IPL. Batting at No. 6 for GT, his performances are commendable. It’s fair to say he does a thankless job for the team many times. He usually comes to bat in crunch situations.

In IPL 2024, having played 8 matches to date, he has scored just 149 runs, but coming down the order and striking runs with a strike rate of 144.66 makes him special. Much like Sudarshan, he provides bowling options as well. In 89 IPL games in total, he has picked up 32 wickets with a decent bowling economy of 7.91. If everything goes in his favor,we may see him doing wonders on the field for India in the T20 World Cup.

Sai Kishore

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore has emerged as one more spin bowling option for India. He might make his way into the India T20 World Cup squad. In IPL 2024, having played just 3 matches to date for GT. He has grabbed those opportunities well, picking up six wickets with an impressive economy of 7.63. Bowling in the middle overs is considered the most difficult situation, but Sai has been doing this job perfectly for GT to date.

He didn’t get enough chances to bat this season, but he can also chip in with a few runs down the order. In first-class cricket, he has scored 729 runs in 38 matches and also has three fifties to his name. With players like Kuldeep, Chahal, and Washington Sundar, who are more likely to make it into the T20 World Cup squad, it will be no surprise if we see Kishore’s name included as well.
