3 bowlers who will be in demand in IPL 2025 if released by franchise

Since bowlers are key to the tournaments, in the IPL their value is even more important. So, who could be the bowlers in demand for IPL 2025 if released by their franchises?

As the saying goes, batters give you the game, but bowlers give you the tournament. When it comes to IPL, like any T20 league, where batters are always looking to dominate with thick edges and quality bats, making six-hitting look like an easy task, there is no question that bowlers are assets for any team. We saw how bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah emerged on the scene and are now ruling it, thanks to the IPL stage.

Many bowlers have done a wonderful job with their skills. Since the IPL 2025 mega auction is all over, and due to many speculations and rumors, bowlers will command strong prices, and rightfully so. But who are those few who can breach the 5 or even 10 crore mark? Let’s take a look at three bowlers who may set the stage on fire at the IPL 2025 mega auction table.

Bowlers who will be in demand in IPL 2025

Jasprit Bumrah

With 165 wickets in 133 matches, this superstar has been an invaluable asset to the team. In 2024, despite the team’s disappointing performance, finishing tenth, Bumrah stood out with his skills. Although there is no question that MI would ever consider letting him go, if Bumrah himself wants to leave the camp, we could expect teams breaking their purse locks and pulling out tons of money for him.

Currently, he is the best in the whole bowling circuit in the world, consistently delivering and fulfilling the team’s bowling needs. This makes him a great contender to receive more than 15 crores, or even more, if he goes into the auction.

Mitchell Starc

41 matches, 51 wickets, but suddenly he fetched a hefty price of 24.75 crores in the IPL 2023 auction. Starc, who showed promising form in IPL 2024, did an amazing job with his bowling, especially in crunch games. This performance will again make him a sought-after bowler if KKR releases him. There is a high chance of that, especially given his ability to perform well in knockout games, making him an asset. He will be the target for franchises once again.

Kuldeep Yadav

Again, in the same scenario as Bumrah, Delhi Capitals will think twice before leaving this rare chinaman bowler with amazing spin bowling quality. With 84 games of experience and 13 short of a hundred wickets (87), there is no question that if Kuldeep Yadav goes into the auction, we may see teams going after him due to the consistency he provides in stopping the run flow. This makes him one of the best assets for the camp, and we may see Kuldeep Yadav’s name all over if he gets under the hammer.
