3 All-rounders CSK might target in IPL mega auction

Chennai Super Kings will be looking to add at least one or two senior all-rounders from the upcoming mega auction.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will participate in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, which is held every three years. During this event, teams have the opportunity to revamp their squad by changing their team composition from the core. In the previous IPL auctions, CSK retained key players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Moeen Ali.

Ahead of the IPL mega auction, the five-time IPL champs might also be planning which all-rounders to target in the upcoming event. Let us check out 3 such all-rounders available for the IPL mega auction.

All rounders CSK might target in IPL mega auction

Ben Stokes

In the IPL, Ben Stokes was a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2023 when they acquired him for a hefty amount of 16.25 crore. However, CSK released him before IPL 2024 due to his unavailability. In IPL, Ben Stokes has played 43 matches and scored 920 runs at an average of 25.56 and a strike rate of 134.5. He has two centuries and two fifties in IPL history. If possible, CSK will definitely look to purchase him in the auction.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Just like Ben Stokes, Ravichandran Ashwin has also played for CSK in IPL. In fact, Ashwin made his IPL debut playing for the Yellow Army. Ashwin can be quite threatening on the slow track of Chepauk, and his batting abilities have also improved significantly in the recent past.

Cameron Green

Thanks to his hard-hitting ability against spin bowling, Cameron Green can also be a handy option for CSK. Green also has a handy slower delivery in his arsenal, and his medium fast bowling can be fruitful for CSK in the middle overs.
