It is expected that the 12 venues for the 2023 World Cup will be New Delhi and Dharamsala in the North Zone, Lucknow in the Central Zone, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Pune in the West, Kolkata and Guwahati in the East, and Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram in the South. Only warm-up games will be played in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram; the 48 World Cup matches, including the three knockout games, will be played in the remaining ten venues.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) request to modify the locations of their matches. The high-profile India-Pakistan game will take place in Ahmedabad under the original draft schedule, which also calls for the hosting of Pakistan’s matches against Afghanistan and Australia in Chennai and Bengaluru, respectively. The highly anticipated knockout matches are expected to take place on November 15 and 16, with the final taking place in Ahmedabad on November 19.
