Team India’s star cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are enjoying a well-deserved break before they join the Asia Cup camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru from August 24 to 29. The duo are not part of the T20I squad that is currently playing a five-match series against West Indies in the Caribbean.
Rohit and Kohli have not played a T20I this year as the selectors have opted to rest them and give opportunities to youngsters on the road to the 2024 T20 World Cup. Rohit, who led India in 2022 T20 World Cup, has been replaced by Hardik Pandya as the captain of the T20I side.

Virat back to India, Rohit in ‘Good Vibes’
Both the senior cricketers have been keeping their fans updated on their activities during their break through social media. Rohit Sharma posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Thursday. He captioned it “Good Vibes”.
Virat Kohli also shared a picture on Instagram of him sitting in a chartered plane arranged by Global Air Charter Services for his trip back to India from West Indies. Kohli was part of the Test and ODI squads that won both the series against West Indies.
Rohit and Kohli will soon be back in action as they gear up for the Asia Cup, which will be held in Sri Lanka and Pakistan from August 31 to September 17. Notably, the duo along with other senior members including Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja are not part of the squad for Ireland series as they will be taking the rest ahead of the Asia Cup with World Cup also insight.
The IND vs IRE series will be played between August 18-23 in Dublin.
