India Cricket Team’s new T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav has maintained his perfect captaincy record. SKY now has 2 in 2 record in the shortest format of the game. After a 4-1 series win against Australia, India tied the series against South Africa as the World Number 1 batter in T20I maintains his clean captaincy record.
After the conclusion of the ODI World Cup, and with Hardik Pandya injured, SKY was selected as the skipper of the India Cricket Team in T20Is. Being one of the seniors, he was naturally the obvious choice to lead a young brigade of Men in Blues.

Under his captaincy stint India began their charge with two comfortable wins against Matthew Wade’s Australia. But then Glenn Maxwell did what he does best. He guided the Men in Yellow to launch a comeback before returning back to his country. But India, strived hard and sealed the series with a comfortable 4-1 series win.
With India playing in the IND vs AUS series, the IND vs SA squad was announced and SKY was retained as the skipper of the squad for the 3-match T20I series against the Proteas.
But things were different in South Africa. The Rain gods played their hand and the first match was washed off without the Toss taking place. In the second match, India started off well and posed a big total (180/7 in 19.3) before rain played spoilsport. The Proteas were given a revised target which Reeza Hendricks and skipper Aiden Markram chased with relative ease.
With the series at stake, the Indians came back strongly, thirsty for blood. Yashasvi Jasiwal showed his deft touch as SKY unleashed his carnage. SKY went into the history books after hammering his record 4th T20I ton to match Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell. In the end, Kuldeep Yadav scalped a fifer to level the series 1-1 as SKY maintains his 100% undefeated captaincy record in T20Is.
