India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma has claimed that 140-150 would be a good score in the IND vs IRE match. The Men in Blue will kick start their ICC T20 World Cup campaign on 5th June. With the pitches in USA and West Indies being on the slower side, Rohit Sharma has claimed that 140 would be a decent score in the game.
“140-150 could be a good score,” Rohit Sharma, Team India skipper said in the pre-match press conference in New York.
Slow Pitches in USA
The slow and turning pitches in USA would be a real bother for all sides. This has prompted the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma to claim that a modest score of 140-150 would be enough to win a game. It can be well understood that Rohit isn’t just throwing caution to the wind. In fact he is taking Ireland as a strong opponent.
Ireland recently defeated Pakistan in a T20 game at their home. And the Men in Blue expect a strong answer from the Irish side. But as has been evident from the slow pitches in USA, Rohit believes that batters won’t be able to score much runs. Thus, the Indian skipper opined that a modest target would be enough to secure victory.
