Some special magic from Rishabh Pant on his 100th match. In his century of matches for the Delhi Capitals (DC), the wicketkeeper batter is feeling a little bit lucky. The DC skipper first won the toss, and every change he was making was working wonders.
He then one-upped himself, channeling his inner MS Dhoni, and that wicketkeeper got Rajasthan Royals skipper Jos Buttler out. Kuldeep Yadav got Buttler trapped in front, but to the naked eye, it looked like the ball was pitching out, and umpire Nand Kishore thought that as well and adjudged the batter not out.
Rishabh Pant, however, wasn’t convinced and went for the DRS. To Buttler and the umpire’s shock, not only was the ball pitching in line, but the big screen showed three reds, and Buttler walked back in disappointment as the Delhi Capitals celebrated in joy. After RR 36/3 in just 7.2 overs, the Capitals were on top due to Pant’s masterful review.
