Rohit Sharma Birthday: Mumbai Indians (MI) and India captain Rohit Sharma turned 36 today and his supporters in Hyderabad gave him a special, ‘larger-than-life’ present. For his birthday, Rohit’s fans in Hyderabad made the largest player cut out in India, a 60-foot tall poster of the five-time Indian Premier League winning captain. The cut-out will be placed near the RTC X Roads in Hyderabad. The viral image was shared on MI’s social media accounts with the caption, “Phata poster nikla Ro (Rohit). Tomorrow is going to be special.” The official account also shared a picture of the ‘Hitman’ posing with the five IPL trophies Mumbai Indians had garnered throughout the league’s sixteen-year history. Rohit Sharma Birthday
It is undeniable that Rohit Sharma has had trouble scoring runs in this season’s Indian Premier League. The talismanic skipper has only scored one half-century in the IPL 2023. Meanwhile, MI have fallen to eighth place in the points table with just three wins out of their seven games. The team’s patchy performances have been a major cause of worry.
They lost their first game of the season, and while they were able to recover, they then dropped two consecutive matches that were of the utmost importance, which put them back in the losing column. They must start winning games consistently if they want to finish in the top four with the league round practically half done.
MI will also be seeking to make some adjustments to their playing XI for their upcoming game against the Rajasthan Royals in order to allay these worries. The match will be crucial for Rohit Sharma as well as the ‘hitman’ will be aiming for a big inning on his birthday.
