While Kohli was seen enjoying the commentary in Bhojpuri, the RCB batter gave these commentators and the fans plenty of opportunities to savour. Kohli has improved in the IPL 2023 after a terrible performance the previous year and is currently in good form. In just four games, the star batter has already recorded three half-centuries and appears to be eager for more.
In the game against Delhi Capitals on Saturday, Kohli was essential in giving his team a solid basis on which to build the innings. The legendary batter scored a masterful 50 runs off 34 deliveries, smashing his third fifty of the competition with the help of six boundaries and one six.
The RCB innings was built around Kohli’s performance, which enabled them to record a respectable score. As a result of his 34-ball fifty and three catches during DC’s run chase, he was adjudged the player of the match as the Challengers bagged their second win of the tournament.
RCB next face MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on Monday, April 17.
