Marsh is part of the Delhi Capitals and featured in both of their games so far. However, he will make a week-long detour to Australia for his wedding. “Marsh is not going to be available for the next few games. He is getting married,” said DC bowling coach James Hopes ahead of the clash vs Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati.
Marsh will miss the games against Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In his absence, Delhi Capitals could go back to Rovman Powell as an all-round option. Manish Pandey or Yash Dhull could take up the No.3 slot.

Marsh did not have the best of starts to the season. He managed scores of 0 and 4 in the two games he featured as Delhi Capitals lost both matches. On the positive side of things, Marsh has resumed bowling, completing his quota of 4 overs in the second match.
“The idea was for him to start bowling from the India ODI series. But that got delayed. I think he bowled fantastically the other day. He will slot straight back when he gets back,” Hopes added.
Players tieing the knot during the IPL isn’t uncommon. Last year, Glenn Maxwell missed the first week of IPL 2023 due to his wedding. Since it is the Australian off-season, a majority of players get married in April and May once they are free from their professional commitments.
