“Mumbai Indians bowler Hrithik Shokeen was fined 10% of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Shokeen admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” it added.
What exactly happened?
It was in the 9th over, Hrithik Shokeen dismissed Nitish Rana with Ramandeep Singh taking his catch in the deep. But as Rana was on his way back, Shokeen said something to him that angered the KKR captain. There was a heated exchange between the two Delhi teammates before Suryakumar Yadav and Piyush Chawla intervened and pacified both.
However, it’s not the first time. Shokeen is known for such poor behaviour. As per reports, Shokeen apparently are not in talking terms. Before being exiled from Delhi team, Nitish Rana had a fallout with Shokeen. With the history not in their favour, there was another ugly exchange between the two.

Rana scored 5 off 10 while Shokeen returned with two wickets for 34 runs in his 4 overs.
