Royal Challengers Bangalore has signed New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He has replaced England’s Will Jacks who got ruled out due to a muscle injury he sustained in the recent Bangladesh tour. RCB secured Bracewell services for his base price of INR 1 crore. Bracewell had gone unsold in the auction but grabbed eyeballs with a sensational ton in Hyderabad during the ODI series in India.

Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah will remain out of action for six months owing to his back injury. Jhye Richardson, who was bought by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.5 crore, is also out with a hamstring injury. However, till now Mumbai Indians have not announced replacements for these two players.
Delhi Capitals seem to be the worst affected team by the injuries as their three key players are nursing injuries. Rishabh Pant, who was the captain of the team, suffered an injury in a car accident last year. Anrich Nortje and Sarfaraz Khan are the other two players who are currently sidelined due to injuries. Delhi Capitals is yet to announce replacements for all these players.
Chennai Super Kings has announced Kyle Jamieson, who was also bought by the team, has a back stress fracture. CSK is still searching for the replacement of two players.
Punjab Kings announced the replacement for Jonny Bairstow. PBKS acquired Bairstow services for Rs. 6.75 crores. He broke his left leg and dislocated his ankle on September 2 last year while playing golf. Punjab has roped in uncapped Australian Matthew Short on his base price of INR 20 lakh as a replacement for Jonny Bairstow.
Rajasthan Royals has also announced the replacement for Prasidh Krishna. Star Indian bowler Prasidh Krishna, who is still recovering from a stress fracture injury, will be replaced by Sandeep Sharma. Rajasthan acquired the services of Sandeep at his base price of INR 50 lakh.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders’ star batter and skipper Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the tournament due to his back injury. The franchise is yet to announce the replacement for Iyer.
