Indian Premier League 2023: Ravindra Jadeja can be seen in many of the photos from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pre-IPL 2023 training session at Chepauk Stadium that have been shared on social media. The ease with which Jadeja looks to have been reintegrated into the team is evident in the images. But before all went smoothly for the India all-rounder and the MS Dhoni-led four-time league champions, a thousand more words were said and heard.
The most important person in the CSK franchise, captain MS Dhoni, had a lengthy, open conversation with Jadeja, who had apparently left the team hotel during the later stages of the previous season in Mumbai, according to Cricbuzz.

Before the “air of confusion” was resolved, he also had a private conversation with the CEO, Kasi Viswanathan. Viswanathan declined to provide specifics of his chat, but he did affirm that all sides engaged in open, honest, and protracted dialogue.

When did CSK and MS Dhoni talk it out with Ravindra Jadeja?
One discovers that the candid discussion took place in the past, long before Jadeja joined the group. It is assumed that he disclosed his annoyances and his expectations for the future.
For their part, Dhoni and Viswanathan are thought to have clarified the previous season’s events, in which Jadeja was appointed captain just two days before the 2022 season began and fired midway after a string of losses.
CSK, the four-time champions and one of the league’s most fearsome teams overall, came in ninth place in the 10-team standings with 10 losses and only 4 victories.
Why was Ravindra Jadeja angry with CSK ahead of IPL 2023?
Although no one in the CSK camp was prepared to speak about what happened in the two one-on-one sessions, it is known that Jadeja was furious for a number of reasons, including the loss of the captaincy and his inability to perform at his best.
One of the top all-rounders in the game right now, he scored 116 runs at an average of 19 and grabbed five wickets at an economy rate of 7.52 in the 10 games he played last season.
It was eventually made clear to him that the captaincy might have been weighing on him and having an impact on his performance. It is known that the all-arounder understood the reasoning provided by CSK.
“Jaddu is fine, he is happy to be back with the team and is very keen to do well. He is looking forward to the season,” a CSK representative said on Saturday (March 25) to Cricbuzz.
