Conor McGregor pledged support to fill 70k capacity stadium

Since he has never competed in Nevada during his professional career, Michael Chandler is eager to compete against McGregor in Las Vegas. Since 2016, UFC pay-per-view events in Las Vegas have been held at the T-Mobile Arena, which can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators. As an alternative location for their battle, Chandler has suggested Allegiant Stadium, which has a maximum capacity of over 72,000 spectators.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Michael Chandler said the bout scheduled for Allegiant Stadium would “make a lot of sense.” Michael Chandler said the star power of both he and Conor McGregor would be enough to fill the stadium.

In Conor’s conversation, Ireland’s Croke Park, Jerry Jones, and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium have all come up. A stadium can be full during a Conor bout. Nonetheless, we will undoubtedly sell the [stadium] out for Conor’s comeback fight against one of the division’s most exciting and dangerous fighters. I may even phone the UFC today and suggest that we get to work on the Allegiant Stadium project.”
