McGregor and Chandler competed against each other as coaches. They were asked to answer trivia questions while sitting on a tub of ice-cold water.
Questions revolved around TUF and UFC history which ended with Conor McGregor winning the challenge by 16-14 score. That said, Dana White didn’t like it a bit and publicly slammed the show’s prediction for putting on such a competition.
In a chat with Mac Life Official, Dana White told, “I’m gonna tell you this. It was a huge, huge f****** … clusterf*** by the production team that shot this thing. Completely f****** irresponsible, completely a s*** show, and both of them could have been hurt during this.
“It was a f****** — ridiculous what happened during the coaches challenge.”
Meanwhile, Coor McGregor doesn’t appear to find any problem with the prediction. He took to Twitter and disagreed with Dana White’s comments but also thanked the UFC chief for checking on the fighters’ health.
‘Notorious’ wrote, “The production were fine and actually quite awesome too! It was no problem at all, but thank you Dana for looking out! All love from the tub!”
Here’s how fans reacted to Conor McGregor’s claims
The TUF 31 season will probably end, paving the path to a potential UFC clash between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. However, the Irishman has been spotted teasing several more names as his next possible opponents.
Dana White Confirms Whom Conor McGregor Will Face Next
Coor McGregor has seemingly desired to challenge Justin Gaethje for the BMF title after ‘The Highlight’ knocked out Dustin Poirier at UFC 291. He has also shared a verbal banter with former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
Furthermore, Conor McGregor claimed to have no interest in facing Michael Chandler a few days back which struck many people to assume the fight is off. However, Dana White confirmed that McGregor vs Chandler is next.
Following DWCS, White said, “I talked to Conor, either yesterday or the day before, and yeah, he’s ready to fight – I said, ‘Listen, get in shape and let’s figure this out.’ [It’s] definitely Chandler – He likes to f*** with everybody, especially his opponent, or possible opponents.”
While the fight is yet to be announced officially, it can happen either in the last days of 2023 or early 2024.
