McGregor was questioned about competing against Michael Chandler in TUF and the octagon later. He replied, adding, “I like Michael and have no issues against him. I am interested to see him coaching. He is more of an athlete and not a technical mixed martial artist. I know he got some skills in the wrestling department, and he got some skills overall, but as far as the small finer details are concerned, I am not sure about it. But I am interested to see his coaching, though.”
He added, “I will slice through him in the octagon fight. I think a little slow for him from everyone he has fought; I am too snappy and webby.” The Notorious talked about the yet-to-be-disclosed weight category in which he would fight Michael Chandler. The interviewer asked 170 or 155, to which McGregor answered laughingly, “185.”

The expected date for McGregor vs. Chandler is, at the earliest, the fourth quarter of 2023. Nevertheless, a precise time or location has yet to be determined. The two fighters will serve as coaches for Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” featuring lightweights and bantamweights.
