UFC news: UFC rankings: Conor McGregor is no longer in the official UFC lightweight rankings. Once a double champion, McGregor hasn’t scored a win at 155 lbs since knocking out Eddie Alvarez for the world title in 2016. Despite that, Conor McGregor was present amongst the top 15 UFC lightweights. However, the promotion made some prominent changes in its rankings after UFC 282, pulling off ‘Notorious’ from the list. Meanwhile, 13th-ranked lightweight Renato Moicano seems to have liked the stance. He expressed his happiness on Twitter and was tagged ‘Money’ by several fans for wanting to face McGregor prior to the recent change in rankings.
Renato Moicano wrote on Twitter, “McGregor out of the rankings… as it should be.”

Conor McGregor earned the fastest KO in a UFC title fight when he stopped Jose Also in 13 seconds to claim the featherweight strap at UFC 194. However, Conor’s lightweight stint hasn’t been impressive. After beating Eddie Alvarez, the Irishman has lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov (sub) at UFC 229 and Dustin Poirier (KO/ doctor stoppage) at UFC 257 and UFC 284.
In between. McGregor has earned just one win against Donald Cerrone in the 170 lbs category. Hence, it’s justifying to see him exit the UFC lightweight rankings but the former champion can return to action shortly.
Here’s a look at the current UFC lightweight rankings
Champion– Islam Makhachev
- Charles Oliveira
- Dustin Poirier
- Justin Gaethje
- Beneil Dariush
- Michael Chandler
- Rafael Fiziev
- Mateusz Gamrot
- Rafael Dos Anjos
- Arman Tsarukyan
- Jalin Turner
- Dan Hooker
- Damir Ismagulov
- Renato Moicano
- Grant Dawson
- Tony Ferguson
