Colombo Weather LIVE: The inevitable has happened. Rain has forced IND vs PAK match to the Reserve Day. On Sunday, only 24.1 overs were possible before heavy rain interrupted the play. While there was hope for a resumption at 9 PM, during the inspection, rain hit back, forcing the Reserve Day to come into the picture. Fans have been preparing for another disappointment as the Colombo weather. India are batting first in the IND vs PAK match with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill giving India a strong start. Before the rain hit, India were 147/2 in 24.1 overs.

Colombo Weather Forecast

The prospects for a full India vs Pakistan match at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo later this week don’t look promising, as the Colombo weather forecast indicates a 70 percent chance of rain in the morning. While the temperature is expected to drop slightly as the day goes on, the chances of rain remains high, especially during the start of the match. In the evening, temperatures will decrease even further, and there are no indications of clear skies. In fact, the rain is expected to intensify during the night.

Despite a good drainage system at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium, the IND vs PAK Super 4 match could still face disruptions. if heavy and continuous rainfall occurs. Initially, there were reports suggesting that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) might relocate the final phase of the Asia Cup from Colombo to Hambantota if Colombo weather plays spoilsport. However, on Tuesday, the ACC communicated to stakeholders that the tournament will proceed as initially planned, with all matches to be held in Colombo.
