Following his dismissal at Bayern Munich earlier this year, Nagelsmann was frequently mentioned as a potential transfer to west London. Although the 35-year-old was seen to be a strong candidate for the position, it is known that he had differences with the Blues on “certain points.”
According to sources, Chelsea suspected during conversations that Nagelsmann preferred to be given the position without going through the hiring procedure. It is also believed that he became impatient with how long the procedure was taking.

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has now assumed the position of favourite after holding productive conversations with Chelsea officials in recent weeks and expressing his willingness to take the position.
