Chelsea 1-1 Everton: Wasteful Chelsea held at home by a struggling Everton side, check out match report- After being at the top of the Premier League for about nine weeks, Chelsea have dropped two vital points in the title race and ultimately missed a massive opportunity to see off a stricken Everton side. Reece James missed an early sitter, while Mason Mount had two opportunities to put the team ahead before firing them in front in the second half. But it was short lived as Everton got back level instantly through teenager Jarrad Branthwaite, who prodded home from a corner.

Despite creating four to five good chances in the first half, Chelsea were restricted to mere scraps in the second half, where Everton were a different side and were so well organized. Full marks must go to Benitez and his tactics – his players delivered when it looked like it could be a long, long night for them initially.
