India vs Malaysia: Asian Chamions Trophy Final LIVE – India will face Malaysia in the summit clash of the Hockey Asian Champions Trophy 2023. While India aim to clinch fourth title in the tournament, Malaysia have made it to the final in the Asian Champions Trophy for the first-ever time. Both the teams finished the round-robin stage of the tournament at the top two spots on the points table. India is the only team to remain undefeated as they have won five of their six games so far, while one game ended in a draw.

Malaysians too have been consistent with five victories in the tournament. Their only loss in the tournament came against India. Both the teams have been terrific in the attack and one can expect a goal-fest when both the teams meet in the final.

India enter the upcoming contest as the favourite. Despite defeating Malaysia 5-0 in the round-robin stage, Indian coach Craig Fulton does not want his boys to take the upcoming contest lightly. Speaking on the eve of the contest he said, “It is a must-win game against Malaysia.

Both the teams have met 34 times in the past. India dominate the head-to-head record between both the sides as they have clinched victories in 23 matches so far. Malaysia meanwhile managed just seven wins. Four matches between the two sides ended in draw.

Particularly over the last decade, out of the 14 matches between both the teams, India registered victory in 12 games. In their most recent meeting at the Asian Champions Trophy, India registered an emphatic 5-0 win.
