Chelsea vs Liverpool: Premier League – CHE vs LIV- Chelsea and Liverpool battled off a disappointing 1-1 stalemate at Stamford Bridge. This is the seventh game in a row that the teams have been tied. After a commanding start with Salah at the centre of the goal, Luis Diaz scored the game’s first goal. Mo Salah believed he had tied the score at 2-2 until VAR intervened to rule it out for offside. After that, Chelsea began to flourish, with Axel Disasi tying the score before Ben Chilwell had a goal disallowed for yet another tenuous offside ruling.

Mauricio Pochettino, the new Chelsea manager, witnessed his team come back to draw 1-1 at home to Liverpool. On Sunday, debuting defender Axel Disasi cancelled out Luis Diaz’s opener in the Premier League opener.

Diaz tried to derail Pochettino’s first competitive encounter as Blues manager in a clash between two of last season’s heavyweight disasters. In the 18th minute, the Colombian reached out a boot to turn in a defence-splitting pass from Mohamed Salah as the visitors attacked with lightning speed.

Just over 10 minutes later, Liverpool thought it had increased its lead, but Salah was ruled to be offside. He put the ball past Chelsea custodian Robert Sanchez, who was one of four debutants in the starting lineup.

Chelsea held on and levelled in the 37th minute when Liverpool failed to clear a corner. Disasi, who joined AS Monaco this month, stroked the ball in from close range after a bouncing Ben Chilwell header.

Chilwell then went around custodian Alison Becker to put the ball in the net, but VAR determined he was offside. After the halftime, Chelsea dominated possession but failed to score a second goal. In the final moments, a deflected attempt by replacement Darwin Nunez almost won it for Liverpool.
