Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat over a phone call on Saturday. Aman brought home India’s sixth medal at the Paris Olympics, after winning bronze in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling with a 13-5 victory over Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz on Friday night.
PM Modi said, “Namaste, Aman! Many, many good wishes for your bright future. What you’ve achieved is truly inspiring.”
“You’re bringing home medals because you’re young and full of energy. You have so much life ahead of you, and I’m sure you’ll continue to bring happiness to the country,” the PM added.
Praise for Aman Sehrawat
The Prime Minister then reflected on the significance of Aman’s achievements. “It’s great to see that you’ve taken on the responsibility so well. Every time India wins a wrestling medal, it adds to the nation’s pride. You’ve given your 100% to fulfil the hopes of the country,” he said.
PM Modi concluded their conversation with words of inspiration: “You’ve not only brought glory to the country but have also become a great inspiration for the youth of India. Keep up the good work, Aman” PM added.
