Eddie started his Sumo wrestling career by consulting with Steve Pateman, a very skilled wrestler with more than 25 years of experience and a 12-time British Sumo Champion. The 35-year-old met Steve in a recent YouTube video, who showed him the basics of sumo wrestling. “Use your strength, grab hold of that Mawashi, let’s see if you can lift those 180-kilogram wrestlers up in the air and march them out,” Steve advised Eddie as his coach, referring to the loincloth worn by Sumo wrestlers during training or competitions.
Eddie Hall participating in sumo wrestling has left the internet into spills as people congratulate him and bet that he can put the shot 63’ with very little training. While someone commented “But he doesn’t have to compete in the (mega)heavyweight division though.”
