Star Indian middle order Jemimah Rodrigues will return to the Northern Superchargers in the Hundred 2023. Jemimah, who was part of the recent India Women’s Tour of Bangladesh, will now be seen in action in England in August. The Hundred will prove to be the perfect preparation for the upcoming Asian Games 2023. The multi-nation event will be played in the 20-over format in late September to early October. The Hundred, which, as the name implies, has 100 balls instead of 120, will aid Jemimah and other Indian batters in action in the tournament to get into the T20 mindset.
Jemimah played for the Superchargers in the inaugural edition of the Hundred in 2021. The Mumbai batter was the leading run-scorer that season for the Superchargers. The right-hander amassed 249 runs in seven innings that season. However, fans will never forget her 92* off 43 balls, chasing a mammoth 131 total. The Superchargers slipped to 19/4, but Rodrigues displayed her prowess, helping her side with 15 balls remaining and six wickets in hand.
This will be Jemimah’s third consecutive season with the Superchargers. Her last season was marred by a wrist injury, and she was not retained by the Superchargers ahead of the draft in March this year. Her arrival this season is due to Heather Graham’s injury in the ongoing Australia vs. Ireland ODI series.

“I’m so excited to be back in The Hundred. It’s a world-class competition, and I’ve had so much taking part in it previously. I was very disappointed to have to withdraw last year through injury, so it’s great to be back. Headingley is a brilliant ground to play at, with great fans, and I can’t wait to be back out there,” Jemimah Rodrigues said in a press release by the Northern Superchargers.
Coming in as an injury replacement, she joins three other Indian players in the league. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (Trent Rockets), her good friend Smriti Mandhana (Southern Brave), and Richa Ghosh (London Spirit).
