Wishes pour in for ‘young’ Rohan Bopanna after becoming the oldest Grand Slam champion

What a story. Rohan Bopanna is the embodiment of grit, determination and will. The ace Indian tennis player has become the oldest Grand Slam champion after clinching the Australian Open 2024 title.

After wanting to retire from the sport two years ago, Rohan Bopanna, at 43, has achieved something people don’t even dream about. Just three days ago, Bopanna had become the oldest world no. 1 and now holds the record for becoming the oldest Grand Slam champion in the Open Era (from 1968).

To celebrate the Indian tennis legend, other sporting legends of India like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, and Virender Sehwag wished Bopanna for his incredible achievement.

Apart from cricketers, celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan also congratulated Bopanna.
