Wimbledon 2022 LIVE – Wimbledon 2022 Full Draws: The much awaited Wimbledon 2022 is just few days away from getting started. Tennis fans across the world are gearing up to watch the year’s third Grand Slam tournament that is set to feature top Tennis stars in action. While Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek leads the men’s and women’s singles, there are many promising young teenagers like 19-year old Carlos Alcaraz and reigning US Open champion Emma Raducanu, who will be strong contenders for the title. Carlos Alcaraz 

19-Year old Carlos Alcaraz tops the list as he has shown terrific heroics in the season already. He has won the Rio Open, Miami Open, Barcelona Open as well as the Madrid Open this year that saw him enter the Top 10 in the world rankings for the first-time in his career. Most importantly, he defeated his idol Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in the same tournament at Madrid and became the first man in the history of Tennis to beat both the legends in the same tournament on clay court.
Alcaraz last played in the French Open, where he reached the quarterfinals. Despite not featuring in any warm-up tournaments on Grass ahead of Wimbledon, Alcaraz is still one of the youngsters to watch out for. He will be the fifth seed in the tournament, where he faces a potential quarterfinal clash against Novak Djokovic.

Holger Rune 
Another teenager who stormed his way into the limelight is Denmark’s Holger Rune. The 19-year old, who made his French Open debut last month, made the world sit up and take notice of him as he defeated 14th seed Denis Shapovalov in the first round. He went on to reach the quarterfinals by clinching a four set victory against fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. With these kinds of performances, he will be keenly watched at Wimbledon.
Having grown up playing on clay, it would be a challenge for the youngster to get accustomed to grass at Wimbledon.  It remains to be seen how he copes up. He played at Halle Open and Eastbourne ahead of Wimbledon, but bowed out from the first round in both the tournaments. He will be the 24th seed in Wimbledon. He will begin his campaign against USA’s Marcos Giron.

Emma Raducanu 
19-year old Emma Raducanu is all set to play her home Grand Slam after becoming the Grand Slam champion by winning the 2021 US Open. The teenager has however struggled in this season with fitness issues. She is still nursing a side strain but is expected to be fit by the time Wimbledon begins.
Raducanu’s best performance this year is a quarter final appearance at Stuttgart Open. She has however disappointed at the Australian Open and the French Open, where she faced second round exits. In the grass court season , she was able to play only 34 minutes at Nottingham before a side strain injury forced her to pull out. In front of the home crowd at Wimbledon, if she is fully fit, she is expected to make a deep run in the tournament. She faces a tricky first round encounter against 46th ranked  Alison van Uytvanck in the first round.

Coco Gauff
Coco Gauff might just be 18-year old, but she will be playing in her third straight Wimbledon tournament and apart from being one of the youngsters to watch out for, she is also a serious contender for the Women’s title. Gauff is coming off after a brilliant performance at the 2022 French Open, where she reached her maiden Grand Slam final and finished as the runner-up after losing the final against World No.1 Iga Swiatek. She will look to carry forward that form in the upcoming Wimbledon.
Her best performance at the Grass court major so far is a fourth round finish at 2019 and 2021. She eyes a much better performance this year. The American will be seeded 11th this year. She will face Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the first round.

Qinwen Zheng 
19-year old Qinwen Zheng is playing in her maiden season as a professional and in just her second Grand Slam tournament, which was the 2022 French Open, she stormed her way into the fourth round by defeating opponents like Simona Halep and Alizeh Cornet.
She faced Iga Swiatek in the fourth round and challenged the World No.1 by making her drop a set only for the second time since the beginning of her unbeaten run. Zheng looked like an opponent who could end the Polish’s unbeaten streak but she suffered menstrual cramps and received medical attention and eventually lost the match. However, her performance grabbed eyeballs and she now enters Wimbledon as World No. 53. This will be her maiden season at the Grass court major and will look to continue her good form.
