India’s Olympic campaign will commence with archers in Paris. All six archers will compete in ranking rounds at the Les Invalides in Paris the day before the opening ceremony. The men compete later in the day. Deepika Kumari, a three-time Olympian, will lead the women individual ranking round in the morning in Paris.
When will Archery event start?
The Women’s Individual Ranking Round will start at 1:00 PM in India while Men’s Individual Ranking Round will begin at 5:45 PM evening.

What is ranking round in archery?
The 128 archers competing are seeded according to the ranking. In the ranking phase, each archer will get to shoot 72 arrows, and the final score over the course of two halves will determine the seeding.
In both the women’s and men’s team competitions, the top four seeded teams advance straight to the quarterfinals. In the Round of 16, the teams with seeds between 5 and 12 will square off; the winners advance to the quarterfinals.
