Chopra, the reigning Olympic champion, will put his title defence on the line in the men’s javelin throw final at the Stade de France in Paris on Thursday (August 8).
Despite concern over his fitness and form coming into the Paris Olympics, Neeraj Chopra threw a thundering 89.34m throw to qualify for the final and topped the standings in the process. It was his season-best and second-best throw of his overall career.
