What does Mongolian Olympic uniform depict?
Mongolia’s uniform is a tribute to Mongolian culture, inspired by the traditional Mongolian deel, a calf-length tunic. The ivory ensemble features cuffed, billowing sleeves, a pleated skirt, and an embroidered vest, offset by pops of color in the collar, cuffs, and vest. It also includes a mythical deer from traditional folklore. According to Michel & Amazonka, the fashion designers, each individual uniform took dozens of hours to make, which isn’t surprising given the intricate level of detail.
Michel & Amazonka also designed Mongolian Airlines outfit
As mentioned earlier, these uniforms were designed by the fashion label Michel & Amazonka, which is led by two sisters. It is noteworthy to add that both sisters have also designed uniforms for Mongolian Airlines. Also, they created the official attire for Team Mongolia at both the 2020 and 2022 Olympics. But the designers gained attention after their creation became a sensation in 2024.
